September 13 marked the 19th anniversary of Tupac’s untimely death, and the estate of Shakur has been paying respect to in a number of ways to commemorate the legendary rapper. The latest way they’ve chosen to honor his legacy doesn’t involve enlisting big names like Kendrick Lamar, but a number of artists for a digital art gallery of sorts. Over on the 2pac Instagram, his estate ran a contest to submit original artwork of Tupac, and now the family has picked the winners for the competition.
Featuring original pieces from 20 different artists, the artwork was shared on the late rapper’s Twitter and Instagram pages. The selection of artists widely varies, with some taking a more back to basics approach, and others opting for more surreal output. Check out all of the pieces of artwork above.
